The Lok Sabha (House of the People, lower house) and the Rajya Sabha (Council of States, upper house) was adjourned to Wednesday following disruptions over demands to discuss the Adani allegations , the Manipur crisis, clashes in Sambhal, and the disaster in Wayanad.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar rejected 13 notices under Rule 267, stating they did not align with procedural directives. Rule 267, part of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Council of States, allows members to move for the suspension of rules to discuss urgent matters. Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge objected to the rejections, as the Chair urged members to uphold decorum.
