Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as a “total killer” despite his friendly appearance. Speaking on the Flagrant podcast, Trump recalled their joint appearance at the Howdy Modi event in Houston in 2019 and shared anecdotes about the Prime Minister's response to perceived threats against India, claiming Modi became more assertive when facing such challenges. Trump highlighted Modi's determination and resilience in facing these challenges, characterising him as a “good person.” The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took note of the podcast and made a social media post about it.
