There is no confirmation on whether the device is a genuine Starlink product, and the find has prompted an investigation into its origins. Starlink does not have a license to operate in India.
Meanwhile, SpaceX founder Elon Musk said Starlink satellite beams have been turned off over India after claims emerged that its devices were being used in Manipur. The Indian Army's Spear Corps shared photos of seized arms, ammunition and a Starlink-like device on X, with social media users pointing the Starlink logo.
