An Airbus 320 operated by IndiGo successfully completed a validation flight at Noida International Airport on Monday, marking a significant milestone for the project. The trial, which tested the airport's readiness for operations, included assessments of navigation performance and lighting systems, along with emergency simulations.
Union Civil Aviation Minister KR Naidu and senior officials from Uttar Pradesh government attended the event, with the Minister calling the project the “most prestigious in the country.” The trial clears the way for the airport’s concessionaire, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), to apply for an aerodrome license with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The airport is on track to meet its April 2025 commercial operations deadline.
