Congress is stepping up its campaign for the Delhi assembly elections. Leader of the Opposition in Lower House Rahul Gandhi is set to address a public meeting in Seelampur on January 13.

Current Congress Chief Ministers of states like Telangana, Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka are expected to visit the capital to drive support for the party candidates.

On Thursday, Delhi Congress Committee president Devender Yadav dismissed concerns about central leadership's involvement in election campaigns. Active participation of senior leaders in press conferences indicates "positive party dynamics", he added.

“Seniors like Jharkhand panchayati raj minister Dipika Pandey Singh and former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot have already addressed press conferences, and others will join us soon at the direction of the central leadership. There is no resentment or lack of consensus on any issue” - Devender Yadav
