United States Attorney Breon Peace announced he will resign on January 10, marking the end of his tenure that included, among other prosecutions, pursuing the fraud case against Indian billionaire Gautam Adani. Appointed by President Joe Biden in 2021, Peace will leave before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20. Peace's office secured several significant legal victories, including indicting Adani for allegedly defrauding US investors by concealing a bribery scheme.
