Opposition leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, have called for a two-day debate on the Constitution in both Houses of Parliament. Letters have been sent to the Rajya Sabha Chair and Lok Sabha Speaker requesting time to discuss constitutional principles and recent developments, Kharge said. Congress leader Digvijay Singh criticised the lack of justice and fraternity, citing incidents like the Sambhal violence during a mosque survey. Gaurav Gogoi noted the precedence of such debates and urged MPs to demonstrate their dedication to the Constitution. Congress MPs also met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to press their demand.
