Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Veer Savarkar College in Najafgarh and three other projects at Delhi University worth over ₹600 crore ($72 million). He inaugurated 1,675 affordable housing flats for economically weaker sections (EWS) at Swabhiman Apartments, Ashok Vihar, where beneficiaries pay less than 7% of the construction cost.
The Prime Minister also opened two urban redevelopment projects: the World Trade Centre at Nauroji Nagar, offering 3.4 million square feet of premium commercial space, and over 2,500 residential units at Sarojini Nagar. Additionally, he inaugurated the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) integrated office complex in Dwarka.
These projects are offered to Delhi's voters as the Bharatiya Janata Party gears up to challenge the Aam Aadmi Party in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
PM Modi also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, accusing it of corruption, mismanagement in school education, and failure to address air pollution. He claimed the administration was responsible for the city's poor education policies and alleged AAP's involvement in the liquor licensing scandal.
