Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal highlighted India's manufacturing and export-led growth, attributing the nation's progress to a quality-conscious approach and an interconnected ecosystem.
On the laptop import policy, Goyal said new guidelines are under deliberation, amid earlier reports suggesting plans to limit imports of laptops, tablets, and personal computers from January.
Goyal remarked on the swift expansion of the 5G network, expecting nationwide coverage soon, and invited global investors to invest in India. Addressing Starlink's entry into India, he stated that discussions with Tesla on the matter have not been held.
On West Asia, Goyal reiterated India’s stance against war, and regarding US trade policies, he called the president-elect "a friend of India."
