Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal dismissed news reports about the possibility of a pre-poll alliance with Congress for Delhi's 2025 assembly elections, stating the party will contest independently. Both parties previously had a seat-sharing alliance for the 2024 parliamentary elections under the INDIA bloc banner but now intend to run separately, as in the recently-concluded Haryana polls. AAP, which secured 62 of the 70 seats in 2020, aims to retain power, while Congress plans to contest all the constituencies.
Aam aadmi party will be fighting this election on its own strength in Delhi. There is no possibility of any alliance with congress. https://t.co/NgDUgQ8RDo
