India signed contracts for 15 billion cubic metres of natural gas from post-Final Investment Decision (FID) projects between January and August 2024, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA). Globally, 50 BCM of gas contracts were inked during this period, with India cornering the largest share at 30%.
