The first round of the India-Japan Dialogue on Economic Security, including Strategic Trade and Technology, took place in Tokyo, co-chaired by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Japan’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Masataka Okano. Discussions centred on building resilient supply chains, safeguarding economic interests, and advancing partnerships in critical infrastructure and emerging technologies.

The meeting involved stakeholder ministries, agencies, and departments, marking a step in the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership. Both sides explored ways to facilitate talent exchange, academic collaboration, and policy facilitation for industrial and technological resilience.
