External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in New Delhi to reinforce cooperation on defence, security, and counterterrorism efforts, including tackling extremism, terror financing, and drug trafficking. Jaishankar noted the steady pace of high-level engagements, while Prince Faisal affirmed the partnership’s foundation on cooperation and mutual respect. Arriving yesterday on a two-day visit, Prince Faisal highlighted Saudi Arabia's commitment to shared global issues. With bilateral trade valued at $52.76 billion last financial year, India stands as Saudi Arabia’s second-largest trading partner, and Saudi Arabia is India’s fourth-largest.
