According to news reports, the government is considering various locations, including the spot near Kisan Ghat and Rashtriya Smriti Sthal, for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's memorial, with a decision expected soon. Singh passed away on Thursday at the age of 92.

On Saturday, BJP chief JP Nadda announced that the government has located a site for Singh's memorial and informed the family about the decision.

Rashtriya Smriti Sthal, the final resting place of four previous presidents and three former prime ministers, has room for two more, according to Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri. He was speaking to a private TV channel. Puri said, "But Congress's request indicated they wanted more, and that request was accepted." This suggested that the government is considering giving the former PM's memorial a separate plot of land.
