He called it the “new star of India's marine infrastructure.” With a 14-metre deep draft and a 300-metre berth, the terminal will enhance the capacity of V.O. Chidambaranar Port. The PM also noted that the terminal is expected to cut logistics costs and save foreign exchange for the country.

India water week 2024: President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the eighth India Water Week today at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The four-day event will host 4,000 delegates, including 200 international participants from 40 countries. Over 100 exhibitors and startups will present their innovations in the water sector. At a press briefing, Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, highlighted the importance of good water management in boosting economic growth. India to add 35 GW of renewable energy by 2025: India is set to connect 35 GW of solar and wind energy to its grid by March 2025.
