The World Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have agreed to provide a loan of $1.6 billion for the development of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh's planned capital. After two days of discussions in New Delhi with the Ministry of Finance and the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), the funding was approved for the “Amaravati Inclusive and Sustainable Capital City Development Program.” This initiative focuses on creating a resilient, sustainable city with goals of inclusive socioeconomic growth, public services, and improved governance and financial frameworks.
