Congress criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for failing to act against George Soros despite accusing him of anti-national activities. Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate pointed out that India, as the fourth-largest donor to the United Nations (UN) Democracy Fund, contributed $900,000 to projects indirectly supporting Soros's Open Society Foundations. The party also raised concerns over Dr Shamika Ravi, a government adviser, receiving a grant from Soros-backed organisations in 2008. Additionally, Congress demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into the Adani Group, accusing BJP of prioritising corporate interests over national concerns.
