Congress made a poll promise on Wednesday of a comprehensive health insurance scheme called "Jeevan Raksha Yojana" offering a coverage upto ₹25 lakh for all residents of Delhi.

Veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot made the announcement as part of the Delhi election campaign terming the scheme a game-changer.

The party's slogan for the Delhi election, "Hogi Har Zarurat Puri, Congress Hai Zaroori" (every need will be fulfilled, Congress has to be voted in), was unveiled during Gehlot's press conference. The party "promises" to ensure essential services for all the residents.

Gehlot also said, "the chances of the Congress forming the government in Delhi are increasing."

Congress candidate Sandeep Dikshit launched an attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday saying, "our question to the Delhi CM is simple: you once claimed you wouldn’t live in a bungalow. Arvind Kejriwal personally told me that a Chief Minister should stay in a one-room house. We are questioning him because he made these statements."

He also pointed out that Kejriwal had attacked his mother (Shiela Dikshit, former CM of Delhi) for having 12 ACs in her house. Kejriwal has installed 50 ACs in the CM's house, he pointed out.

The BJP released a video of Delhi CM's residence on X, posing multiple questions to the AAP supremo.
