Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Chief Minister of Delhi (Sheila Dikshit) and the Congress candidate from the New Delhi constituency against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal, will soon file criminal and civil defamation cases against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and AAP MP Sanjay Singh.

The dispute revolves around the allegations made by Atishi accusing Dixit of receiving money from the BJP to throw the elections.

Dixit claimed that for the past 10-12 years he and his family have been unfairly targeted by the AAP. He pointed out that Kejriwal did not have any evidence for all the allegations he raised against Sheila Dikshit.

At a press conference, Dikshit said that the Congress did not respond to Atishi's claims because it was former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's funeral that day. He said he would ask the AAP to give him Rs 10 crore, out of which he would donate Rs 5 crores for cleaning the Yamuna and Rs 5 crores to fight Delhi's pollution.
