Two BJP MPs, who were injured in the face-off between the opposition and government members inside Parliament premises, are now doing well, but are still being monitored in the intensive care unit at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
On Thursday, Pratap Sarangi (69) of Odisha, and Mukesh Rajput (56) of Uttar Pradesh, were taken from Parliament to the hospital due to head injuries. In the pushing and shoving at the Parliament door Sarangi fell and hurt himself.
Both the BJP and the Congress are accusing each other of causing the commotion that ended in a near-assault situation.
Delhi Police has already registered an FIR on the BJP’s complaint against Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.

This is not the first time that Sarangi is making headlines. Pratap Sarangi is notorious for his alleged involvement in the 1999 infamous Graham Staines murder case.
Graham Staines, an Australian Christian missionary, and his two sons, Philip and Timothy, were burnt alive when the station wagon, where they were sleeping, caught fire. It was alleged that Sarangi, who was the leader of the state unit of Bajrang Dal at that time, was the one leading the mob of religious fundamentalists who set the station wagon on fire.
Sarangi and 11 other Bajrang Dal members were convicted of this triple murder in 2003 and Sarangi was sentenced to life imprisonment. He was acquitted by the Odisha High Court two years later due to lack of evidence.
