On Sunday, BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused each other of falsifying the Delhi electoral roll in an effort to win the State's Assembly election, which is scheduled for February.
Arvind Kejriwal, AAP's supremo, claimed that the BJP has devised "Operation Lotus", through which they have submitted nearly 5,000 applications for vote deletions and 7,500 applications for additions.
Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri dismissed Kejriwal's remarks saying, "Do you think Rohingyas, in any condition, will vote for the BJP?" He then accused the AAP of bringing the Rohingya population to Delhi to gain votes.
Kejriwal responded to Puri's comments by saying, he should be arrested as he has all the information on where and when the Rohingya population was settled in Delhi.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also claimed that the BJP was trying to get his wife’s name deleted from the voter list.
BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya on Monday refuted Sanjay Singh's claims that the party was trying to get his wife's name omitted.
