Delhi Chief Minister Atishi claimed on Friday that the BJP is going to make Ramesh Bidhuri the Chief Minister if it is voted to power. She was speaking at a press conference.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has dubbed the BJP the "Gali-Galoch" (abusive) party. Atishi claimed that the BJP promotes only the most abusive among its rank and file.
Ramesh Bidhuri was under fire last week over his remarks on Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Atishi. He received a major backlash on social media for his misogynistic comments. He said he would build roads in the Kalkaji constituency that would look like Priyanka's “cheeks.”
Atishi's announcement comes as Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at BJP National President JP Nadda's home for an important core committee meeting on Friday.
Earlier in the day, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal announced that Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) will be given money to hire private guards for security if AAP returns to power in Delhi. The party also claimed that BJP has been distributing ₹1,100 to buy votes in Delhi.
The party also announced the office bearers for its newly launched Hindu religious group, Sanatan Sewa Samiti.
The Congress and BJP have been targeting Kejriwal for his purported comments against Delhi's "Purvanchalis" –- the migrants from Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
To protest Kejriwal's alleged insults against migrants, BJP workers organised a 'Purvanchal Samman March' on Friday from Ashoka Road to his home. Delhi Police detained some of the protesters.
