The aggregate market capitalisation of the Adani Group's stocks dropped 6.2%, or ₹87,805 crore ($10.6 billion), to ₹13.31 lakh crore ($160 billion) in 2024. The biggest decline was observed in Adani Green Energy, a stock which was in the news when a US court indicted the chairperson on bribery accusations. Three scrips have seen an increase in value this year, while the m-caps of six other equities have declined.
Bloomberg reported that Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, has dropped out of Bloomberg's $100 billion club this year due to business challenges. Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has also slipped out of the list.
